چکیده
This study sought to investigate the cardioprotective potency and interaction of muskmelon (Cucumis melo) with enalapril (ENA) against myocardial damage caused by acute chronic isoprenaline (ISO) treatments in rats. In model, 150 mg/kg (s.c) ISO was administered for two consecutive days at end pretreatment either ENA, muskmelon, or both their respective groups. introduced into therapy ENA/muskmelon/ENA + groups during last 10 3 mg/kg. Muskmelon tested three doses (100, 200, 500 mg/kg, p.o., 30 days), one normal dose ENA (10 mg/kg) used. Blood samples were taken treatment, animals sacrificed. Biochemical markers such as LDH CK-MB, well antioxidant (superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalases) thiobarbituric acid reactive species (TBARS) measured serum heart tissue homogenate (HTH). To confirm biochemical findings, histological slides prepared. administration induced an elevation amount TBARS, which increased all it administered. Prior treatment resulted a rise biomarker activity homogenated decrease serum. terms alleviating abnormal conditions ISO, group given high combined had best outcomes. The activities SOD catalase substantially higher treated classes. Histological findings showing cytoprotective actions have confirmed outcomes models. It is therefore concluded that (500 has promising potential improved more efficiently injury model presence ENA.

CORRELATION BETWEEN ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC AND HISTOPATHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN ISOPRENALINE-INDUCED MYOCARDIAL INJURY
Myocardial injury was induced in 25 dogs by infusing isoprenaline, 2-4 microgram per kg per minute for the duration of six hours. 10 dogs served as controls which received only physiological saline. Animals receiving isoprenaline 2 microgram per kg per minute were labelled as experimental group A and other receiving microgram per kg per minute as experimental group B. Histopathological obs...

Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate cardioprotective effect of silk cocoon (Abresham) Bombyx mori (B. mori) on isoprenaline-induced myocardial infarction. This study deals with the cocoons, which is called Abresham in the Unani system of medicine. It is one of the 64 drugs which Avicenna has mentioned in Avicenna’s tract on cardiac drugs and used in the treatment of cardiovascular di...

Objective(s): Scutellarin (Scu) is the main effective constituent of Erigeron breviscapuswhich hasanti-oxidant, anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory and other therapeutic properties. The purpose of this study was to investigate the protective effect of Scu on myocardial infarction (MI) induced by isoprenaline (ISO). Materials and Methods: The rats were subcutaneously injected with ISO (45 mg/kg) o...
متن کاملThe genome of melon (Cucumis melo L.).
We report the genome sequence of melon, an important horticultural crop worldwide. We assembled 375 Mb of the double-haploid line DHL92, representing 83.3% of the estimated melon genome. We predicted 27,427 protein-coding genes, which we analyzed by reconstructing 22,218 phylogenetic trees, allowing mapping of the orthology and paralogy relationships of sequenced plant genomes. We observed the ...
متن کاملATP-induced cardioprotection against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury is mediated through the RISK pathway
The aim of the present study was to examine the post-infarct acute effect of adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) on myocardial infarction (MI) size as well as its precise molecular mechanism. Sixty New Zealand white male rabbits were exposed to 40 min of ischemia followed by 180 min of reperfusion. The rabbits were intravenously administered 3 mg/kg of ATP (ATP group) or saline (control group) imme...
